Heaven and Hell, What’s the difference?
Friday, March 30th, 2007Many people have different views on what Hell actually is. Some believe that Hell is on Earth today while Heaven is automatically after this place. What is your view, and what is the view down there in Hell actually like?
Ever had a taste of it here on Earth? Many look at the day to day news and say why is it all such a hellish place at times. Working, living and breathing on planet Earth certainly takes it's toll. Often like a road toll, sometimes you've just got to go through it.
Why would a Loving God want to see us go through some of these stressful situations? Why does He allow the hurt and the murder continue?
As long as we are in the world we are subject to it in many ways. It is how you respond to it that shows us your character. It's hard to get bored when you are in the thick of a trial, and how can others seem to go on seemingly unscaved?
In my life I have learnt to accept the bad situations but not let the ways of this world dictate to me how I am suppose to react. Look at Jesus and how He reacted on the cross. He realised that to accept the world and yet humbly sacrifice Himself for it was the only way. He knew that to react as Man reacts and always physically fight back proved nothing except all men are the same. Jesus reacted differently, He instead chose to make a massive statement in Love, not Hate, and Peace not in War. In some ways to share in His rejection and pain at times is an honour and I give Him the glory for it.
The difference between Heaven and Hell? It's like Light and Dark. Love and Hate. Being truly rich or truly poor. Loving Forever or Fighting Forever. What do you want? Uncontrollable Happiness or Uncontrollable Pain? Controlled Life or Uncontrollable Death…….for eternity. I believe Hell is where the criminally insane are banished for eternity and go on forever in that insane state…..and what's the keys?
The key to Hell is continually deny Jesus as Judas did. Fob Jesus off as a fable. Continually use His Name as a cus word and a lie. If that is you then I want you to know He still hung on that cross for you. Hanging there and enduring for you. Hoping for you, dying for you. Going through Hell for you before you have to.
The key to Heaven is in answering Jesus's plee "Will you believe in Me?". Will you go the extra mile as I did for you, and deny yourself as He did? The key is in coming to the foot of the cross and asking Him to forgive us for our rebellious nature Forgive us for taking that highway that takes us right up to that toll plaza entitled destruction and death. The key to His life is saying you truly believe Him, that He is the Christ chosen to save us all. The crucifixion was the defining moment and not a fictional moment. It was and is a chance to get to Heaven and become what we are meant to be. A transformed resident of heaven, perfectly made, healed and Loved by a creator that simply wants us all to come home.
