Everyday
Thursday, February 21st, 2008How often do you see so called christians put on the Sunday act and yet live a very different life the rest of the week? It's like we spend the week feasting on the worldly mentality and then Sunday going for only a short snack of spiritual guidance.
It really hurts God to know that when His christian children, who believe they are saved and are going to heaven, and yet can't spend each day with Him in mind and spirit. Trying to be holy is seen as either boring or over religious, but God still needs us to try everyday. That is His purpose for your life on this Earth. But this will not be religious very soon but a reality for everyone. We all believe we will spend everyday in heaven with God, but are we willing to live with Him obediently here on Earth to start with?
Everyday God presents a new chance to begin His holy journey again and again, and what an opportunity this needs to be viewed as. It is written that when Heaven and Earth have passed away there will be a new Heaven for those who put there trust in Jesus Christ. There the light will no longer come from the Sun or the Moon but only from God himself.
So I urge you to think about what you do with daylight now. Think of it as another opportunity to get closer to God. After all, if heaven is where your focus is then keep that focus all throughout the week. Each day is another stepping stone to work with and to work out. On Earth as it is in Heaven is the catch cry, but it needs to be everyday. Don't be like the Religious who simply play the church game, but BE IT, LIVE IT and KNOW IT.
