Easy Way Out?
The only way out is the only way in and it's you….. That's the catch cry of a Cliff Richard song from like three decades ago and it still rings true. Yes, this man was speaking about something that is timeless and always on Man's Mind.
We all want the easy occupation that brings easy financial gain, the easy route home when driving through the peak hour traffic or the easiest win in that race. So then why are we not so motivated to find the easiest way to eternal happiness? Jesus has made a way through that desert, He knows our needs before we even speak them.
The easiest way is often turned into the hardest when people go everywhere else but directly to Jesus. Jesus is just as accessible as anything else in this world. Jesus also said all that is seen in this world shall surely pass away, but the Kingdom of God will last forever! Do you want to live forever? Of course, deep down in your soul you do. Now do you want that eternal existence to be in the comfort of God or the pain of the Devil. The choice is yours, it always has been.
Do you want forever? Do you want to cut yourself short and simply want for this world only? The choice is yours. The hardest part of it all is doing all things through only yourself, instead of doing all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you and me. His weight is light, His burden is easy because He has taken on the the world through His personal sacrifice and He has overcome all things.
